Inspiration

Someone asked how I could look at gibbons and see S&H.

It's really not that hard. :)

Starsky & Hutch: A Love Story

Starsky and Hutch were nearing the end of a long shift on stakeout duty.

"Hey, Hutch! You see anything yet?"

"No, Starsk. It would help if you hadn't left the binoculars at home.

Fortunately, Zebra Two rolled up just then to relieve them.

On the way home, Hutch dreamed of a dozen ways to get back in Starsky's good graces. Starsky had other ideas, and surprised Hutch by asking him to stop at the beach so they could "talk."

Once there, Starsky walked along quietly, finally settling on a rock a few yards away from Hutch.

"I've been thinking, Hutch. I think we should see other people, uh, gibbons."

"You've got to be kidding! After all we've meant to each other?"

"So long, lover."

Starsky searched for another lover, but one by one, they were all sent packing. He loved no one more than Hutch.

Meanwhile, Hutch had retreated into a shell. He was bereft without the one gibbon who was the center of his world.

He was very sad.

Regretting his hastiness, Starsky tried to catch Hutch's attention, but Hutch was lost to his misery. He didn't even notice when Starsky struck his you-can-have-me-any-way-you-want-me pose.

Finally, Starsky could stand it no longer. He hid, sort of, near the spot where Hutch was brooding.

But Hutch wasn't a detective for nothing. He soon spotted Starsky's excellent hiding place and pulled him to the ground.

"I don't know whether to choke you or hug you!"

"Just love me, Hutch."

As the day ended, the lovers were happily reunited.

But Hutch hadn't forgotten number six on his dozen ways to make Starsky happy list.

"What's going on back there?"

Zoo Day 4-1-06

Thought I'd take a break from S&H. I was doing fine until I saw these guys...

The angle and lighting were awkward, so these shots were the best I could get. Shortly after these were taken, Hutch ran off waving his arms in the air. Starsky followed. When I left, they were happily entwined again.

Only Starsky was on the bottom.

Other notables:

Couldn't help but think of those great S&H episodes: "Little Gorilla Lost", "Captain Dobey, You're Red", and "Murder on Polar Bear Island".

I need a rest.
